I was a 6 ft tall 11-year-old with a slicked-back ponytail and a robust collection of Ken Burns documentaries on VHS.
Though I'm still letting my childhood coaches' athletic expectations down, I did learn rather quickly in life that audiences (even tweens) will listen to a captivating story no matter who is telling it.
